What is Non Medical Life Insurance
#1 in series of posts on Non Medical Life Insurance.
I regularly see ads on T.V. talking about ‘Non Medical Life Insurance’ And I think that for many people, this sounds very attractive if you don’t want to pass a medical exam.
Is Non Medical Life Insurance right for you? I thought I would do a series of brief posts talking about how Non Medical Life Insurance works.
The first question would be – what is it?
- Non Medical Life Insurance is life insurance . Either a whole life policy or a term policy.
To be eligible to apply for the insurance, you would need to answer certain medical questions. But you do not need to pass a medical. There are no blood or urine tests. All great news! And the insurance company will not write to your medical providers for a report.
So far so good. What kind of medical questions would the insurance company ask?
Well, there are different levels of questions for different policy types.
And different levels of questions for different types of plans. and also for different premium levels.
The more questions you can answer as a “no I haven’t had that” in ‘x’ period of time, the better the type of plan available to you. And, the more questions you can answer as “no I haven’t had that” in ‘x’ period of time, the better the premiums levels.
My next post, in the series, will give a couple of examples of the kind of questions asked.
